Development of new testing methods of the laser radiation parameters, in the frame of laser radiation testing Laboratory
Contract no. 224/2006. Project 5112/2006 CEEX Program RENAR
30.11.2006-31.01.2008
Objectives:
- study and documentation for defining and the technical argument of the new tests;
- identification of internal and internationale rules for accomplishing of these tests;
- supplementation of testing equipment for performing the new tests;
- determination of the new tests, performance of the measurements, study and determination of calculus algorithms for estimating of measurement uncertainty, certification of the new measurement methods;
- elaboration of the quality management system documentation regarding to the extension and implementation of the new methods;
- completion of the personnel training through internal ane external courses;- dissemination of the information and the results of the project;
- accreditation of laboratory testing range expansion, by the RENAR.
Innovative Aspects/research metodology:
- study and documentation for defining and the technical argument of the new tests;
- determination of the new tests, performance of the measurements, study and determination of calculus algorithms for estimating of measurement uncertainty, certification of the new measurement methods.
Rezults:
The laboratory is organized and carries out its activity on the rules of SR EN ISO 17025:2005. Taking into consideration the rules of standard it was designed and implemented a Quality Management System, that represents the base of performance of all activities.The main objective of the company and of the laboratory in the quality domain is complying with all contractual requirements of clients, keeping agreed schedule, offering attractive prices, all of them based on respect and sincerity relative to client. The general objectives of the company and laboratory in the quality politics are:-increasing of client satisfaction;-increasing of company prestige and creation of an excellence image;-increasing of efficiency and operational efficiency of all activities;-continuous improvement of the delivered products/services.Testing/measurement are based on the specific standard requirements.
Below, there are presented the measurements/tests developed in the first stage and correspondent standard:
- cw laser beam power, SR EN ISO 11554:2004;
- pulse laser beam energy, SR EN ISO 11554:2004;
- laser beam temporal characteristics, SR EN ISO 11554:2004;
- laser beam widths, SR EN ISO 11146:2003;
- laser beam divergence, SR EN ISO 11146:2003;
- laser beam power/energy density distribution SR EN ISO 13694:2003;
- laser beam positional stability, SR EN ISO 11670:2003;
- laser beam polarization, SR EN ISO 12005:2004;
In the frame of the project will be developed the following measurements:
- laser beam M2 propagation factor, SR EN ISO 11146:2003;
- laser beam spectral characteristics, SR EN ISO 11146:2003;
- shape of laser beam wavefront, SR EN ISO 15367-2/2005;
- laser wavelength measurement, it is not a special standard, but the measurement is carried out with a precise equipment, with a soft dedicated to this measurement.- laser beam polarization measurement will be completed
In the frame of the project it will be performed the following:
- extenion of the optical testing range with minimum 5 parameters;
-in consequence, 5 specific technical procedures and working instruction will be elaborated;
- 5 proffesional men will be trained through external courses;
- it will be estabished 1 demonstration report regarding the capabilities of the laboratory in performing the new tests;
- it will be organized one meeting with the potential clients for presenting the laboratory offered testing services;
- it will be elaborated 1 service catalogue;
- it will be presented the project on the WEB site;
- the laboratory will be presented on the society WEB site;
