Holography is a modern technology used to create tri-dimensional images by exposing a photosensible plate to a laser beam that engraves a microscopic pattern on the surface. All the holographic effects can be observed under suitable light.

A hologram is a two or three dimensional image of an object or flat artwork recorded on a photosensitice materialby a laser radiarion. The image itsels becomes visible by the light difraction when is iluminated from one direction or another

The complexity of the holographic technology  makes any counterfeit almost impossible, the holographic images can't be  reproduced through conventional methods. The production process is realized in high security facility, using advanced image processing techniques, software and hardware.

Holograms are  known as  diffractive optically variable image devices - DOVID.
